So what’s so new that I am writing this blog?
Well, we are currently handling a number of planning and building regulation applications for clients who’ projects demand this process. In some cases the alternative could have been to reduce the size and height of the building and change the position. Though by not doing this, the eventual room is going to be so much more valuable. The compromises we could have taken would have saved around 8 weeks in the total project time. Although useful, and tempting, this can be such a small price to pay when compared with the 50 years plus that the building is going to be providing a great and enjoyable facitily.
The ease of the process does depend upon who is handling your applications. In our case this is carried out by professionals in this field. Experts at anticipating and predicting what the authorities will require and tuning the applications to ensure a really high chance of first time success.
So, my summary…. whilst speed may sometimes be essential, don’t discount the planning process as a big bad monster that will complicate your dream space.
