Q: What kind of projects do Swift undertake?

A: Garden Rooms for uses such as:

 Q: What prices can I expect to pay?
A: We provide excellent value for money.
Our rooms are all built to bespoke sizes and specifications so it is impossible to produce a “standard” price list. As a guide, a 3m x 3m garden office would cost from £15,250 including VAT and installation. A larger 4m x 4m structure would start at around £20,000 and a large 7m x 3m studio with impressive bi-fold doors would cost from £24,000. Extensions and larger projects have to be surveyed before we can give accurate advice. We do not charge for our site
survey or our quotation, so please ask us round to see what difference a Swift room will make to your life.

Q: Are Swift buildings as permanent as traditional brick/block structures?
A: Very much so. Although excitingly different to many people in the UK, the principals and technology of SIP buildings are very well established. The SIP technology is a leap forward from timber frame construction. The panels are stronger, better insulated and are completely pre-prepared off-site. BBA approval ensures that stringent regulations for safety, durability and strength are maintained.

Q: Do I need planning permission for a Garden Room or domestic extension?
A: In many cases your garden room or home extension can be built within "permitted development rights".  This is a collection of allowable developments that you can build onto, or in the gardens of, your domestic property. Q: Will my new Swift Room have to pass any building regulations?
A: We will give you specific advice when we meet you and carry out a site survey. Most of our garden rooms and garden studios already meet or exceed most areas of building regulations but do not require formal applications and inspections by Building Control inspectors. Most extensions, large projects and commercial buildings will certainly require full building regulation conformity.  Wherever building regulations are involved, we will ensure that all standards are met and certification is obtained.

All electrical installations will be carried out by qualified personnel and our clients will receive a Part P certificate.

Q: What if you are building on a site with limited access?
A: Swift’s buildings are of pre-fabricated construction and are flat packed in prefabricated modular panels. In most situations these can be carried through limited access routes. Our site survey clarifies how we overcome any individual challenges regarding access.

Q: Who will construct my building?
A: Our fully trained, professional and customer focused team will carry out the complete build with the minimum of disruption and with due care and attention. When the building is completed, your new room is cleaned, the area tidied and you take possession of the keys and your new Swift "Space".

Q: How do I access internet and telephone services from a detached garden room?
A: Whenever possible, we keep things simple and efficient by using a wireless router and a dual cordless dect phone. Alternatively we provide a full service to manage the provision of telephone and network cabling, subject to a full site survey.

Q: What is included in the price?
A: Everything that you ask for! There
are no hidden costs. We will listen to what you want, discuss the options and provide you with a fully detailed and inclusive quotation. We don’t hide VAT and if there are any likely additional costs then you will be made fully aware of them... or you don’t pay for them!

Q: What kind of return can I expect on my home-improvement investment?
A: The current housing market has made Home Improvements the preferred route for many owners. Because we only build to high standards, and then guarantee our products, you can rest assured that all of our projects will be viewed very favourably by purchasers.

Q: What warranty do I have with my Swift Organisation building?

Q: How long does the process take?
A: We carry out all kinds of projects. In every case we will not forsake quality for speed.  However, as our name suggests, we don't like to waste a moment and will project manage your work to become the most efficient and straightforward process that we can.

Typically for a detached domestic garden room, lead time is 3 to 6 weeks with a completed build time of less than 2 weeks.

Attached extensions and larger commercial projects will take longer, as will cases involving planning and building control applications.  We will always attempt to give you a clear indication of time scale and speed, and then stick to it.

Q: What can I use a detached garden room for?

Q: Are there any finance options available to me?

A: (a) BUSINESS FINANCE:

For the business user, there are a variety of options enabling you to make the most tax-efficient decisions about funding. Lease-Purchase, Lease, Business Loan and outright purchase are some of the topics that we recommend you discuss with your accountant or financial advisor. We would be pleased to refer you to a company who are very experienced in providing competitive finance packages for these investments and who always act as swiftly as ourselves.
